Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2026

This week, TMS is proud to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, Māori Language Week! Across the school, our tamariki will have opportunities to use and celebrate te reo Māori through everyday classroom learning, activities, waiata and kōrero. We encourage everyone to try a new kupu or phrase and use more te reo throughout the week. Karawhiua, give it a go!

To finish our celebrations on Friday, TMS will come together for a Cultural Dress Day and shared lunch. Tamariki are invited to wear clothing that represents their culture and enjoy a shared kai as we celebrate the languages, cultures and diversity within our TMS whānau.
